Skill Development Training Programme for person with Disabilities (PWDs) In Collaboration with National Institute of Orthopedically Handicapped (NIOH) Under Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India

Skill Development Training comes under two heads - 1) Non Technical 2) Technical

Non Technical trades may include any handicraft that will allow the candidate to develop the skill to earn from it. Non Technical for which no specific education is required and trades may include like : Coaster making, Paper Bag/Envelope, Masala Grinding & Packing, Jewellary making, Jewellary Box Making, Mobile Repairing, Receptionist, Housekeeping, beautician, Tailoring, Zari Carpets, Soft Toys, Silk Screen Printing, Textile Printing, Garments making, manufacturing of Diya and Paraffin, Bamboo Craft, Handicraft, food processing, Greeting Cards, Agarbati / Candle making, Prickles/Jam, File making, paper Bag, Soap oil making, Vermi Culture, Agriculture etc.

Educational Qualification not required For Non Technical Trades.

Technical Trades includes CAD/CAM, Machinist, CNC Machine, and Computer Basic, Computer Hardware & Networking, Welding, Pluming, Carpentry, Electrical, Gadget Repairing and other technical jobs.

For Technical Trades the candidate must have educational qualification of class - (VIII-X)

  • PWDs may be of any category with minimum 40% disability.
  • During the Training Candidates will get the Meal Allowance and Travelling Allowance from the Institute.
  • On successful completion of the trainings, stipend will be awarded along with the certificate.
